Primary 3 recently had a visit from Phil at Bam Nuttall. First, we talked about bugs and insects which could be found in Scottish gardens. Then we had to design our own new bug. We came up with some really imaginative creatures! Next, we used recycled materials from the Inverurie high speed rail link project such as pipes and string to make bug hotels. We had to squeeze as many sticks as we could into the pipes, so that they were packed really tightly and wouldn’t fall out. Then we tied string round each end so that our hotels can hang up. We were given cool stickers to use to decorate our bug hotels. Now we have to think of a good place to put them so that our homes can provide a comfy place for bugs to live. We really enjoyed this workshop!
